While on a recent trip to Wylam I came across this abandoned farm and I decided to have a wander around and take a few photographs.

Bird Flu?
Nah. If it was I guess they would have had it sealed off.
I did hear though that they are knocking it down soon so if anyone wants to have a wander around in there they best make it quick.
How long ago was this? I'm actively seeking locations for a shoot at the mo, would be really useful to know if it's still there.

Hello. :)
Late last summer it was. I saw a notice up near the site and it said luxury flats were planned.
You could chance it. There was an upstairs bit on the farm (which I did'nt look around as I was on my own) and an open empty house on the site too.
Yo!
I'll give it a go, I think. Not far, anyway. I have you in my RSS reader these days, ye knaa. :)
Good luck!
I've never put a feed link up on this site yet for some reason. I reckon I ought to put it on my to-do list. :)
looks like waughies owld pig farm
Cheers. :)
I used to live here. Shame to see the old place in such a mess.
Waugh's pig farm is north of the A69 between Heddon and Throckley. I think this farm used to belong to a family called Graham.

This is the farm and dairy run by the Graham family. Bottled milk from Wylam Hills Dairy was sold locally, including from Fenwicks.
I used to live there and its an old abandoned dairy farm there has been rumours about luxury flats for nearly 5 years yet still none, gutted when I moved away from there made some good friends and memories there
Thanks. I guess the flats may have been put on hold due to the financial climate.
Used to be a nice set up,the grahams were good friends with Bill Thompson of the buildings farm where I used to help out
This farm was owned by the Graham family, my Father George Dodds was the Head Herdsman from 1975.
There are actually three houses on the farm and I had a wonderful childhood here.
My best friend at school was Julie Dodds
