High Bridge

Named after one of two bridges that crossed the Lort Burn, a dirt-filled stream which ran from Castle Leazes through Grey Street and down to the River Tyne.

One of the few remaining areas of cobbled streets in the city, it has both a historical charm and the best of the modern world with a range of independent shops.
