Manors

An area just east of the city centre Manors was once the site of the old Manors railway station and the New Bridge Street Goods station. In recent years the area has seen a huge expansion of student accomodation due to the proximity of the two universities in the city.

Central Motorway Footpath.

The walkway over the Central Motorway which used to stretch from Manors Car Park to Pilgrim Street has been rather crudely curtailed in recent years due to the developments on Pilgrim Street. It used to lead diretly onto the Swan House roundabout but now stops short with a steep staircase leading down to Carliol Street.
