Demolition has begun of the Derwent Tower (Dunston Rocket) in Gateshead.
Workers have spent the past 10 months stripping out the interior of the tower block designed by Owen Luder.
Demolition is set to last around 18 months and I will get back for some more photos as often as I can during the demolition.
