In 2017 developers revealed plans to create a shipping container village underneath the Tyne Bridge on Hillgate Quay.
Original plans to build a garden-come-leisure destination were scrapped, following an announcement by Gateshead Council that the ambitious scheme had hit the buffers.
The team behind multi award-winning brewery and event space Wylam Brewery are behind brand new plans for the land which will feature a taproom and a street food.
1n 2024 work to repair the Tyne Bridge triggered the closure of the brewery although plans are afoot for it to return with some changes.
