Downing Plaza Construction (Former S&N Breweries Site)

Downing Plaza, next to Newcastle United FC’s St James’s Park ground, is a mixed use scheme on the site of the former Scottish and Newcastle brewery.

The city council has granted planning consent for the biggest development in the city since 1973.

It will create six new iconic buildings offering luxury residential and office space, a 200-bed 4 star-plus hotel, a 462-bed student village, retail space and public areas

More information and pictures of what it will look like when finished are here Downing Plaza.

Thanks for all the pics Steve!

It's always a pleasure to check your site every few days, to see what else is changing back home.

No problem bud. I must get along there soon to get some more snaps as I think the hotel has opened recently.
