Downing Plaza Construction (Former S&N Breweries Site)

Downing Plaza, next to Newcastle United FC’s St James’s Park ground, is a mixed use scheme on the site of the former Scottish and Newcastle breweries.

The city council has granted planning consent for the biggest development in the city since 1973.

It will create six new iconic buildings offering luxury residential and office space, a 200-bed 4 star-plus hotel, a 462-bed student village, retail space and public areas
