St James' Park - Sir Bobby Robson Remembrance

St James' Park on sunday the 9th of August 2009 decorated with flowers, Teddy Bears, scarves and football shirts from fans of football clubs worldwide in remembrance of the recently departed Sir Bobby Robson.

Our thoughts are with the family of such a remarkable and brave man.

RIP Sir Bobby.

No problem mate.

Sunday was the last day that St James would be open to pay respects.

I heard somewhere that all the flowers will be composted to make Sir Bobby compost but I don't know what will happen with the shirts.
Someone else told me that Sir Bobby's family would like the shirts to go to Football4Africa which is a really nice idea.

Thanks for sharing these. We were away in Norfolk but my son went to St James Park on the Sunday and left his shirt and signed the T-Shirt. His new shirt has 'Robson 09' on the back.
Very proud of the tributes and these photographs are really good to see. Thanks again.

I also took my son on the sunday on the spur of the moment. Previously I had decided not to visit but I changed my mind when we were passing St James on sunday lunchtime.

At this Sir Bobby Robson Memorial I wrote out an entire poem which stretched the corne of the North East Corner.....between the East Stand and the Sir John Hall Stand....has any1 got any pictures of it?? A photographer gave me his card,took photos but hasnt uploaded them yet??? Its special to me as my very own personal tribute to my 1st ever childhood hero :') R.I.P Sir Bobby Rosbon <3
