The 13-storey Tyne Bridge Tower shares the Gateshead riverbank landscape with Sage Gateshead and the medieval St. Mary's Church buildings.
One North East bought the tower for more than £4m from UK Land Estates, has now submitted a planning application to demolish the building and its walkway link to the Tyne Bridge.
