Newburn Haugh
Newburn Haugh was once the site of the Anglo Great Lakes Graphite Plant and Stella power station. The land was reclaimed some time ago and a new business park was built on the eastern edge and a pathway along the Tyne was tidied up and it makes for a lovely walk about a mile long.
More information:
- I passed along this way a couple of summers back on my Walking the River Tyne Westwards Project and posted a few photos of Newburn Haugh on the Lemington to Newburn stretch.
